Monopsony

Yes, the power company monopsony hurts uranium producers! They love having to deal with only Kazatomprom and Cameco. And soon, perhaps, just Cameco. The high barriers to entry make this a difficult market for the junior explorer to navigate. M & A to consolidate that sector no doubt brings a smile to the face of the monopsonist. Last cycle's explosion, notwithstanding, there were not really that many viable U producers out there in and fewer now.
