No news on Didipio means no good news to come.

On checking the Book value of Oceana it is listed at 3.29
And that is with most of didipio asset value

That book price is going to tank if a miracle does not occur

They had near 450 k ounces from there in 2019 and now down to zero.

The next report is not going to be pretty while managemnt plants trees and promises to be carbon neutral...well they certainly reached that goal at Didipio way ahead of time.

Why would management continue to put money into this for whatever reason when for a year there has been no revenues.  Does anyone really think that didipio other than management , think that this is going to end up positive.  I would think their efforts and resources would be better served elsewhere rather than a hope and a prayer in the Philippines. Any new agreement, IMO,  would ...more

Didipido is completely priced out. The chance Trump will win the election is higher than Didipido getting approved

Why would you think that DIDIPIO is all priced in when  it still has has a good amount of asset value what happens to that asset value and the corresponding book value when that gets written off ?

How does writing off Didipio affect the asset value of the other mines? You are misinterpreting book value for NAV.
Comment by MugglesOhana on Nov 28, 2020 10:49pm
then what is the book value of oceana then? and what would be the book value without didipido?
Comment by uggg on Nov 29, 2020 8:30pm
Book value is an accounting value, what it is on the books for; cost, depretiation etc. I am concerned with what the assets are worth today. NAV & comparable market value. These values are subjective according to what numbers you use & what comparable assets you use. The recent NAV I saw for Haile was 1.1 billion which is around the market cap of the entire company. Some will agree, some ...more

So the net asset value of DIDIPIO is subjectively much less than  hwat is on the books as it is only worth what someone is willing to pay for whatever assets less the permit since it is basically worthless at this point having not been able to renew. The odds of renewal IMO are more in terms  of a hail mary
