Rebound Q - first reaction

OGC sold 96,400 oz in Q4 with a reported AISC of  $1080 per oz.

Total sales for the Q amounted to $168 million and adjusted net profit was $2 million.

$2 million in profit amounts to $20.75 per ounce sold. Draw your own conclusions.

One way to look at it. A more forward looking approach is to figure out what they would have made in the fourth quarter without the hedges and forwards. It would have been somewhere around 25 to 30 million more as price in 4th quarter probably averaged about 300 dollars more than the 1640 they got. They no longer have any hedges and the forward is in the money now by about 150 or so I believe. OGC ...more
