Wake up, mr market!

Despite improving fundamentals, the drillers continue to be ignored. Hoping tomorrow's numbers light a fire.

The plus side : solid top line at levels back to the top of the cycle even tough the average price per meter is lower than last year.   However, again mobilisation costs and higher salaries for drillers is compressing margins and they ended up with a net loss which was surprising.  Was listening to MDI presentation today and the market is tightening up.   The rates should ...more

This company is cheap, and seemingly in the early stages of very strong growth and, eventually, profitability. Surely a larger enterprise is mulling over the possibility of swooping in and acquiring it.

Hi Walden, You are right, OGD is quite cheap.  Thinking about it, their margin are depressed for a good reason : investment in staff as well as mobilisation costs.   In both cases, these are investments in the future that should give them more revenus, so taking the hit now before revenu materializes.   If you listen to MDI conference call that benefited from higher ...more

Good points, FIO. Just to be clear, I'm in no way hoping for a takeover. Like you say, the hit on margins is temporary. Once that's the absorbed, this company will make a lot of money. I'm in for the long haul.
