Marf.... no really how do you feel about the D's LOL. I am with you US is great at F'ing up things. Good results in weird times, OGI will prevail if they keep their nose in the wind and a steady hand on the tiller. BAT must be happy with results, maybe we are setting ourselves up to be bought, Beenie came from Supreme so.......?? Onwards and upwards GO OGI!! glta

Decent response from markets 1.33 last time I checked. Can't argue with the E/R numbers. GLTA

The results are decent but I believe that we will see consolidation in the cannabis sector, so OGI might be acquired by a larger name.
Comment by stockfy on Jan 13, 2023 2:57pm
What matters to me is that OGI does not have debt. The indebted names will not survive.
Comment by stockfy on Jan 13, 2023 2:58pm
I also like the fact that OGI continues to hold the #1 market position in the Maritimes.

From the earnings call it sounds like Beena wants to buy someone.  with the tight capital markets right now, a lot of companies are low on cash, and there might be great opportunities for us to explore. So, we have that optionality in our balance sheet that we will look for the right opportunities

Thanks for the comment! That's simply because i read more then i post....because most of the time when you post something you get called an idiot because you're against the grain. But if you want to start a discussion on why organigram might be bought up,  go ahead be my guess. I just don't see the point of an acquisition when the profit are starting to stack. And the competition ...more

I feel compelled to comment on this as well.  Agree with Kalsabor. This company has built a solid and fiscally responsible business supplying the Canadian market and expanding beyond borders to Israel and Australia, perhaps the huge German market next.  Currently the state of affairs in the US matters not.  At this time Safebanking matters not!  Hold on to your shares, don' ...more

No problem Marf. Good to see discussion on the board rather then bashing and name calling. I did double my money thanks  to Benna when she sold supreme, and as numbers unfold she seems in control. I got to agree with you on other companies jumping on american market way too quickly tilray comes to mind . As for hexo ,the shyte they pull out with redecan is a complete aberation. I still cant help but think OGI is an easy takeover candidate (nice clean capital structure), when it could happen is anyones guess. BAT could easily be the buyer, they have already shown their confidence. You have to admit the price is right these days. If no buyout I am still happy to enjoy the ride, this company has lots of good things happening. GLTA

I think they would have went for it under a dollar no? I mean they got the people to actually calculate ogi's earnings so they would have known that the tax loss selling we had around Christmas would have been the best time to buy it out

That is something I could not even begin to get a complete understanding of. Too many moving parts in M/A. Just a lowly investor looking at the basic principles of finance lol
