Eli Lilly to acquire Phase 1/2 DICE Thera for US$2.4 Billion

On July 02, 2023 Eli Lilly announced the acquisition of Sigilon for US$126 per share.

Eli Lilly buys Sigilon for US$126ps which traded at $0.33ps

Sigilon Therapeutics Inc. was trading at US$0.33 per share prior to its 1 for 13 reverse share split on May 22, 2023 that was follwed by Eli Lilly's offer to purchase the company for US$ 126.56 in cash on June 29, 2023 - a price increase of 38,251%.

Yeah, Sigilon got a very healthy buyout. $309.6 million is fantastic for a biotech with only 2.5m shares outstanding.

Dice got $48 per share in the Lilly buyout. They were trading in the low $30 range earlier in 2023. Decent buyout, but yeah Oncy needs to get on creating SH value and 10× todays price pronto. My opinion.

The reality is that Big Pharma is facing a looming patent cliff which they address by acquiring late-stage de-risked biological assets/companies, like ONCY biological-platform technology in pelareorep,  through premium M&A deals. And Big Pharma has approximately US$1.5 Trillion in "fire-power" to put to work to acquire late-stage biological companies will benefit from the 13

Hope that wasn't directed at me. I'm just posting the facts around those buyouts. I, like many others, see a lot of validity behind your $10b-$15b projections for an $Oncy buyout. I actually think there is an argument for an Immunomedics type number...Pela is going to make some BP a lot of $$$$ in many different indications.
