Biogen acquires rare disease company for US$7.3 Billion

July 28, 2023 - Biogen has revealed a proposal to acquire Reata Pharmaceuticals.

The Massachusetts biotech will pay $172.50 per share for the Plano, Texas-based rare disease specialist in a deal that comes to US$7.3 Billion.

Nice buyout. Reata was trading at $20.95 last August. They're up close to $60 usd today on news of this deal. Man, it will be exciting when we wake up to huge BD news!!!
