Options

I just noticed on SEDI that there are numerous options expriing on Monday, December 11, 2023.

They were all issued ten years ago and they have a strike price of $1.74 CDN.
They are in the money as of close on Friday, December 9th.

Alan Warrander 16,000
G. Van Amersfoort 30,000
Alan Tuchman 55,000
Brad Thompson 360,000
Fred Stewart 45,000
Robert Schultz 60,000
Kirk Look 160,000
John Leivonen 35,000
Edwin Levy 30,000
George McGill 80,000
James Dinning 35,000
Mary Ann Dillahunty 40,000
Matt Coffey 240,000

We can expect some on the list to excercise their options on Monday morning and likely sell the shares to pocket some small amount of extra cash for Christmas.
For example, George McGill could exercise at $1.74 and then sell 80,000 shares immediately for $1.90 and net $12,800 for his troubles.

Others with smaller amounts may simply have forgotten about these options or will not bother and let them expire since the difference between strick price and close on Monday will be inconsequential. Especially if they all intend on selling Monday in which case the share price will likely drop below strike.

Brad Thompson may not even hold these options anymore due to the unusual circumstances surrounding his departure from the company.

MC and KL will be crossing their fingers and hoping like hell the share price drops below $1.74 CDN on Monday to save them the expense and future loss from having to convert and hold shares.

Note, these numbers are in addition to the 175,000 options MC has that expire on Wednesday, December 13 and have a strike price of $1.45.

So by Wednesday, MC could be the proud (and sorry) owner of 415,000 newly minted ONC shares that will have cost him about $671,000... more than half his annual wage.

I don't give a damn what most on this list do with their options and resulting shares. But if MC or KL choose not to exercise, or do excerise but then sell, then everyone should take is as a clear message that ONC is headed for a long, sad downward spiral to oblivion.

Of course, most names on the list are no longer insiders or involved with ONC. So, they may have had the options converted as part of their exit plan, and it is possible the numbers are not relevant. I'm not sure how this works with reporting requirements in Canada. But do pay attention to MC and KL. Those two names are certainly of interest.

Okay, sorry, I have confirmed that those options are all expired, converted, etc. upon departure from the company (even though the record does not show this on SEDI). Hence, the only two of interest for Monday will be KL and MC, as they are (unfortunately) still with the company.

If you don't give a damn what most on the list you posted do with their options and resulting shares, then stop your obsession with posting about them.

I can't see how three posts in the span of ten minutes is an "obsession" but I will take your advice and immediately stop posting about the ex-director and ex-employee options (since they no longer exist). I am, however, still very interested in what happens over the next three days concerning the options held by MC and KL, and I think that every shareholder should be watching ...more

Well every post you've made since November 19th has been about management's options. That's rather obsessive by anyone's practical standards.

These guys know what's going on from the inside. MC/KL, that is. They've been selling a story of excitement and transformational year for ONC. If they don't buy their options then hold shares it'll be pretty clear what is really going on. They better become proud shareholders. I am watching very carefully as well.

Indeed. The most important & exciting 6 to 9 months failed to come to fruition. The aforementioned two individuals have only to step up this week to at least temporarily address investor concerns. Become shareholders. I'm sure Matt's apologists are readying their excuses, but there really are none. GLTA.

Thanks to the Board for being this to our attention. If they do not exercise and hold these shares, I will commence exiting most or all of my position in this company. That will conclude a decade-long odessey with this company.

And all that coming from another sour gumball and Quentin30 supporter. No surprise considering where it is coming from.

This may be a basic questions but...I'm going ask it anyway.....how soon can we find out what our esteemed leaders have done with their options? Does that show up on SEDI right away?

All this rethoric on here is great and we have all been told umpteen times that pela is the best invention since sliced bread...  how about that stock price this morning...

Not liking it! But, I prefer or hope that it is the MM's on a fishing expedition in advance of ?
Comment by atomicbombsta on Dec 11, 2023 11:28am
While I don't disagree with you, that wasn't really an answer to the question. Also, wondering which exchange these options would show up on? Or can the exerciser make the call?

At this point, who really cares? Soon there won't be a dollar sign involved in the share price. The investing public is sick of having the wool pulled over it's eyes and has seen the light. ONC has nothing to offer.

Ok then buh bye, we'll be seein ya!

The 240,000 options with a strick price of $1.74 as shown on SEDI are a bit fishy. The were granted in December 2013 and I can't quite match the share price at that time with the strike price of the options, even with accounting for the future reverse split. My thinking now is that those options are actually priced at about 9 x 1.74 so perhaps we can ignore them as worthless. But there are ...more
