Idle Evening Thoughts

There is a lot going on here, and as my position is quite small, I sometimes wonder why I bother trying to sort it. I do however, like puzzles, and this is a doozy.

I do not think MC is going to exercise those about to expire options. He just got 350K at $1.91 and if there is a buyout greater than $1.91, the new ones would get taken by the buyer. The experts could tell us, but I think he might not even have to put up cash for the options @ $1.91 in the event of a buyout. I am not suggesting a buyout, but it would be better for MC and his options. I would do the same.

Andrew de G. There is no way of knowing what happened. I M O it would have been foolish to fire him, and there are a myriad of reasons for moving on. de G is a finisher, and I am hoping his job is finished. It is curious that there has not be an announcement, but I am not bothered by that.

I should point out to Q, that Dr. Laeufle was there to help design GOBLET and mBC trials.

In conclusion, there is such a lack of clarity, and apparent actual confusion at ONC, I think I will hold, but instead of adding at the end of the month, buy some dividend paying stocks.

Best of luck!

Pelaboost, I also think that MC will not exercies his options (those that expire today). But consider the message this sends. He is the only person on the planet that can buy ONC shares today at a price of $1.45 CDN. He is the CEO. He has inside knowledge and has a clear idea of ONC's potential and short term future better than anyone. And he takes a pass?? Well, in my opinion he will be ...more

It appears that MC now has 350K new options at $1.91. I am not defending him, but he lets the 12/13 options expire and does not have to lay out any cash. He has 350K newly minted options and in the event of a buyout greater than $1.91 he has a guarantee even if he lays out cash for the options at $1.91. I do understand your point about not exercising. So we will have to wait and see what the ...more

Given MC's generous compensation over the past 25 years, he should have a net worth well over 10 million dollars (assuming no drug or gambling habits). It would be small change for him to find $253,000 for exercising those options and it would be a noble gesture in a time of uncertainty for the company.

I mentioned previously that I did not think that MC would exercise the options as he would have to follow canadafans rule and never sell a share and there is no way he wants to lay out that cash and hang on to the shares when he can have free options handed at the same time his other ones expire. BTW we are the ones that voted last round so they could have an over allotment of the options for ...more

Agreed. Canadafan, you provide decent DD on occasion, and thanks for that, but "grant" obviously does not equate to "exercise." We'll see what happens. GLTA.

If we can't trust Canadafan, Matt, not stable anymore... oh yes we have Azzak! Seriously, not the end of the year we were hoping for. We have to post humoristic posts thru the end of the year. Maybe it will help. GL

At least Azzak has the same face here as on other platforms. Unlike the other hypocrite, who has several usernames and who changes his opinion depending on who he exchanges with (no need to name him, he recognizes himself very well). He is very good at pointing out the errors of members who believe in pela, but notice that he will never contradict the members of the yahoo bashing team, the clowns ...more

I agree with you regarding Coffey's respect for the shareholder. He has displsyed his contempt over and over, and for that matter most of the other management and BoD has done the same. His promoting a r/s was the worse and then canceling the warrants was another. However, canceling the warrants told the market not to expect any share appreciation soon, which has been the case. Now we are ...more
