Loading the oncolytic virus onto CAR-T cells may give us three levels of killing. First, the CAR-T cells target the tumor and kill some of the cells," says Dr. Vile. Even though Pancan went into quiet mode but said Onc would still receive the 5 million dollar award .....should we assume it was included in MC's 12 million dollar cash on hand. The PR wasn't entirely clear as to whether the money would be just handed over as a reward for past successes or if it would be set aside to be used in further

The $5 million was directly related towards the additional trial arm. To be added alongside the other Pancreatic cancer arms. My opinion, not just sitting in the piggy bank as part of company cash. I could  be wrong. Howevr the PanCan " grant" was clear.
