Aura stock falling

Anybody have any insight as to why stock is getting beaten down the couple of weeks? I know gold took a bit of a nosedive, but just wondering why Aura keeps falling?

its earnings per share are $2.19 cad, if it trades at a minimum 10x it's earnings it should be 21.90 per share. The problem is with brazil, it sets the momentum and price action, they seem to trade on emotion, not on fundamentals. That's why the panic and stop loss selling.

Keep in mind that one insider owns more than 50% of the shares, private companies and insitutions own 20 % and the public 23 percent. Another thing to keep in mind is that sell offs happen in threes, this is the third time in a year ORA has sold off, and recently gold sold off for the third time to 1680/ ounce. Don't forget that this company also pays a nice dividend, will it pay the same ...more

Good points. it was very nice divident earlier this year. Going to hang on to Aura for a while yet.

In last 2nd quarter conference call CEO mentioned Aura expects to recieve final permits,  notification from Brazilian Gov to start Almas construction before end of August. Reason for delays Aura needed to negotiate a few last details, social benefits ect. Aura also increased production guidance from +260k to +264k oz for this year.  I still believe they can hit +290k oz gold including ...more

Partial transcript from CEO on the 2nd quarter conference call: Guidance increased to 264-294K ounces. Almas waiting for final goverment approval, I expect we should have an update on this process soon as I had expected an announcement before end of August on construction of Almas.  Next catalyst after Almas will be the updated mineral reserves expected around or just after the 4th quarter ...more
