Downturn?

Any experts here have insight as to the huge downturn from $42 to $34?  Did some "analyst" downgrade OSB?

In my non-expert opinion the are multiple factors at work. Last week US housing starts came out for Aug. Even though they improved from July & June numbers I think the lower permits were concerning to investors (future builds). Add in rising interest rates that drive buyers away as well as the delayed NAFTA deal and "presto" forest product companys get punished. OSB prices are lower ...more

It dropped because investors who were there only for the special dividend of $4.50 sold off as soon as it was paid.
