Use of proceeds

The net proceeds received from the Offering will be used to advance the Corporation's Windfall Project, as well as for working capital and general corporate purposes.

The above quote is from the news release. I believe that if the company had big acquisition plans they would have been required to use specific language to that effect. 'General corporate purposes' doesn't include game-changing big deals, IMHO, but I'm no lawyer.

If the company wanted to buy some mining claims to add to their holdings here and there, no problem. These guys are not about to launch a competing bid for Newcrest.
