Peru Election

Fujimori is slightly leading Castillo, at this hour, based on "exit poles" from what I understand. I will be very interested to see the results. When the results will finally be known may be a function of the margin and the efficiency of the system.

I assume the share price will get a boost if Fujimori peacefully and decisively wins. It is a shame that the choices are presented as either far right or far left. I wonder where the truth lies.

Covid19 continues to ravage and create a situation leading to dangerous revolutions.

I wish Peruvians the best. I believe that the best is a step towards liberal democracy, so I would be voting for Fujimori. If I thought otherwise, I would not be in the market.

Castillo overcame Fujimori's lead and with over 99% of the vote tallied Castillo has 50.27% of the vote. Apparently the rural voters heavily favoured Castillo and those votes were not tallied and communicated as quickly as the urban votes. Not sure if Fujimori is yet willing to concede. So, this leaves more uncertainty for PAAS, which may be the least of the worries for this country which ...more
