ope this link works. Anyways some hope on Escobal. Government assigned a new Vice Minister last week. Kind of a long read but I think a good company over view. Article was on Seeking Alpha.

Thank-you Good post Noticed : Just to clarify the purpose of the consultation isn't a referendum on the project. The purpose of it is to identify the impacts of the mine, and then once those impacts are agreed on with the indigenous group to find a way the company can either mitigate or to compensate for that.

Agree Udinese69.   I know nothing about Guatemala government/finances but if like most governments they are always looking for money. I just don't see the government walking away from the economic activity the mine would bring so am cautiously optimistic they will come to a resolution. Who knows timing.
