Smelly trading

Keep an eye on the manipulative trading on the sell side through Cibc and maybe gsc. Looks a bit like a notorious hedge fund at it again.

Now anon. Hilarious.

Just noting the trading so the regulator has a clear record. Bids at $2 moved up to hit $2.01. Cibc then knocks down to $2. Hard to believe Cibc would still permit this fund to trade through them.

A little more stable so far.  Let's see if the Cibc short man can restrain himself for another hour. I bet not. These guys beg to be exposed. Can't help themselves when they think they can clip a penny.

Told ya can't help himself. As soon as 2.01 is hit the slime ball has to hit $2. Glad this is a real time accounting as the guy will be banned in Ontario next.

They are so friggin stupid that they had to smash down payfare below $2 at the close. Fortunately the transaction and party doing so will be recorded by the OSC. Had 75000 iceberg at $2. Filled at 3:59:59.  Back for more tomorrow. Fortunately I have enough money to buy it all so the shorts will have to buy it back somehow.

RBC dumps close to 70000 shares in the final 30 seconds of the day today in a direct effort to close the share price below $2. Total volume about 177000. lol.  Short position of 1.289m on a stock trading at cash. 20% of the trade volume is a short. Wonder if this is naked. This billboard chat is a good way to observe and record the trading. Eventually these guys get cold feet or the ...more

According to CIRO report ending November 15th, there is now 1289000m shares short. Over 20% of the volume is a short sell. With only 45m shares outstanding, and I now own a ton which aren't on loan for a short, ask if this short is a naked short.  I understand people make money in the markets and more power to them. But if the trading through RBC, Cibc, TD and gsc are synced up to ...more

Complaint in. Now let's see if this proves to me market manipulation to depress the share price or a legitimate short position at the cash value of a company. Happy to be proven wrong but this is very smelly.  Good luck to the longs. I'm done posting but had to record the day to day trading to forward to CIRO.

Good luck with CIRO. They will likely give you a stock response (based on my experiences on any complaints).
Comment by WillyGreen on Nov 28, 2024 12:10pm
Likely but the wheels will get going. They will reach out to the compliance departments with the trading screenshots and the last minute volume close. They will give compliance time to do an internal investigation. If the shorts are naked, they will advise that it is illegal to do so and force the participants to cover. Either way, I anticipate the shenanigans to settle down very soon if not today ...more

WillyGreen: "According to CIRO report ending November 15th, there is now 1289000m shares short. Over 20% of the volume is a short sell. With only 45m shares outstanding" That's not true. I'm looking at it now. The report says 1.28 million were short, with a value of $2.689 million. 48,079,915 shares outstanding, so that's only about 2.66%. He said over 20%.

Current short vol according to CIRO is 996,827 shares at Nov 30. That squares closely with other sources. CEO.CA says Nov 15 short position was 898,119 shares. Close enough. I don't see anything nefarious going on here. WillyGreen suggested the regulator/compliance needed to step in. Most of the trade volume is regular selling, not shorting. https://www.ciro.ca/markets/reports-statistics-and ...more
