“Ottawa open to East Coast LNG plans, subject to meeting climate goals”. Is it me or is this just plain stupid political spew? So, it’s okay to export LNG as long as nobody burns it?

In a way its not a dumb question, or maybe you just trying to be cute.  But climate action goals only count within a country's borders. If we ship them LNG- them buring the gas is them and their GHG emission regulations. So whatever they do with it does not effect our GHG regulations. What does count here is the tons of emissions burnt for the liquification compressors. So the government ...more

Of course it's stupid. And hypocritical. And pompous. May as well assume the liquification compressors are powered by burning unicorn farts. I'm far too odious to even attempt to be cute.
