LNG

There spent 5M in Q4 for the dead LNG project, it will be interesting to ask why there still spend money on it...

Actually, that is just an accounting recification: negative $4.5 million spent on LNG Development. Catching up with an expense that was recognized more than a year earlier, and that they did not have to pay. Goldboro costs since Q3 2021 have gone into General Administrative, which bumped up and remained flat until Q4 2022.... where it went back down. And in the many pages you will only see the ...more

Goldboro is done. You are correct. Trudeau and his anti-energy, anti-Canadian "go green at all costs" policies and his reckless tweets about there being "no good business case for LNG" have effective destroyed this part of the industry in Canada. Germany and Japan have come to Canada to provide LNG. They would have paid a premium for it. It's much cleaner than coal and oil ...more

You should read the comments by Repsol when they cancelled their LNG export project. He was very clear- both the economic case for the LNG plant and the pipeline construction required were way off being economically viable. LNG happens on the Gulf Coast because all the infrastructure was all there to start with.  The economics of BC LNG are questionable, with the lack of infrastructure and ...more
