The whole world is crazy !! Hydrogen is a very inconvenient method to store energy And very expensive to produce. Better to rely on nuclear. The Japanese are re-starting their nuclear reactors. Rather than hydrogen they are developing ammonia systems for energy handling and storage. The rest of Asia will probably stick with Coal. Canada's best bet is to develop LNG exports to displace some ...more

I was responsible for the steam tracing for the Glace Bay rehab and the cooling and effluent water sytems for Laprade. Both plants turned out to be a huge pork barrel scheme favouring Lavalin and SNC (separate entities at the time) Neither plant ever produced a drop of heavy water from start to finish. Rather for Glace Bay, nearly finished heavy water was brought in from Bruce in order to complete ...more
