Darren Gee veteran CEO pushed to the limit
Solid business is being re-valued by market participants right now.
When you have $30,000,000 of your own capital invested in the business that you're CEO of, coupled with three decades of experience then you've earned the right to speak your mind.
Darren Gee's Nationalist-lean comes from frustration with Truedeau's mismanagement of the country, especially the shunning of Western Canada's resource E&P's. If anything the Libs should be championing natural gas as cleaner alternative to coal combustion for power.
The real issue Gee has is that with Libs in power since 2015, foreign investment has avoided Canada's resource sector and plenty of it has exited Canada the past 6 years. Opportunity cost is massive. Country is now 6yrs behind in E&P capex and will never recover from damage done.
Canada would have been positioned to take market share from other Oil and Gas producers worldwide right now had we voted in govt that understands the importance of Fossil Fuels and their vital role in sustaining a world with 8 billion people in it.
Beautiful thing about capital markets, you can buy and sell when something doesn't smell right. If someone is upset with Gee for speaking his mind, they can hit the road. For me, when I read what the CEO has to say, it makes me want to own more PEY.
Darren Gee is important to AB and Canada. We are fortunate to have a patriot like him around heading Peyto at this critical juncture for the the country and the world.
Instead we have a puppet govt of Latte Liberals who find it more important to Virtue Signal than they do to build our resource sector and attract foreign investment to speed up the process.
Winter 2022-2023 the most vulnerable people worldwide are going to starve and freeze. You can thank political elites who pushed for renewables and shut out fossil fuel development. Anyone supporting them can shoulder some of the blame.
Ignorance is bliss until the price of staple foods is 20-40x higher in a 24 month period. The poor are going to die slowly from starvation and cold. Liberals should be made to watch it happen and held accountable for their directives that landed us in a position of energy poverty, while the resources sit idle in the ground.
Nothing virtuous about people starving to death. I'm sure the Liberals will find a way to spin depopulation by starvation as a good thing for the climate heretics that vote them in.
I'm proud of Darren. Canada needs more leaders just like him.

On a dip I am leaning with Shenty, although political risk is huge for whatever they can dream up can put us down a deep hole. I would love to have the guts to take half of what I have and buy March 23 calls slightly out of the money as many as I can handle. Would give me a 3 to 4 x leverage I believe. More if prices skyrocketed.
