Investing in an EV could be a bad decision for readers of this BB
Why ? Even though you may be saving big time  on fuel costs , you could also be losing even bigger time on opportunity costs. I e . by investing the initial cost savings in Peyto shares.
I won't do the math for you. But it is certainly something to think about !!

You can do both.  If Peyto helps you buy your gasoline think of how much electricity it will buy you.  Personnally EVs are not quite there yet for me.  I did not enjoy my Tesla drive the car is just too small and I have never liked anything that stresses proprietary usage.  Not apple, not Sony and certainly not a purchase as large as a car. about four months before covid I had put in a Solar Panel system, my cost was $26,000.  It has been nothing but a pain in the butt and will take 8 to 10 years to just get my money back assuming the panels all work by then as the optimizers keep failing. Now if I had that $26,000 just four or five months later when PEY crashed to $1 it would be worth over $400,000 and I would never have to ...more
