With Vessels designed to transport Ammonia, The Ammonia could be manufactured at Kitimat, then shipped from there. The value would be in using spare capacity on the CGL without the necessity of long delays for a second LNG plant . Just a thought !!

For those who would want to replace the massive quantities of Coal being burnt around the globe and particularly in Asia, there are many alternative solutions. There is no one size fits all solution. There are significant issues revolving around transportation , land availability due to population density , cost, reliability and so forth.  Ammonia is one possible solution, that may have ...more

Speaking about the need for massive new infrastucture, a grid based on wind and solar would seem to require not only more grid but also massive storage in locations where the wind does not always blow nor the sun always shine. .I would imagine the situation is similar in many parts of the globe. remember people like to use their Ice s to travel , sometimes to remote locations (even off road). EV s ...more

Here is the real reason, I believe in nat gas first and foremost.. That is the amount of energy storage required for seasonality. Currently , as we all know, upwards of 3000 BCF of nat gas must be stored to meet additional winter time demands. If my math is any where near correct , that is equal to 293 million  Tesla Megapacks (3 mwh ) That is for the USA alone, I believe the numbers would be ...more

C'mon now, you disparage OIlprice.com , then you extol the U of California at Berkley ? Pardon my mirth !! Seems we could both be arguing about this way past 2035 !!

The main reason that I dismiss this particular study or any other one for that matter is pure pragmatism. The future will be built one step at a time , and directions will change irrespective of everyone's best intentions. All this stuff about 2030, 2035, 2050 ,2060 or even worse 2100 is simply conjecture. There is no direct path to the future , and the best we can hope is that goodwill ...more

Nagger, I read and appreciate your posts on both the Peyto and Crew boards. I am assuming like me you own both. Do you have a preference? I like the Peyto dividend, but feel that Crew has more upside torque. Any thoughts? Currently I am 65% CR 35% PEY as my only NG holdings. Thanks.

All of these O & G shares have been kind to me ever since the post covid lows. Peyto has been one of  the most difficult for me to understand ,due to their extensive hedge position. But that will unwind over time and we will be left with a well run very cost efficient enterprise for the long term. I particularly like nat gas as I see it as a transition fuel whose demand will only grow ...more
