The $10/Gj number
This is what Peyto claims it would have received this year.
After some digging, I found Peyto would have to collect the carbon tax from Cascade and remit the charge to the federal government. This amounts to $3.25/Gj.
So the $10/Gj becomes $6.75/Gj.
This reduces comsiderably the impact on my spreadsheet.
Hopefully, there are not to many more of these I ignore...

Does that mean our dividends are getting taxed BEFORE as well as after we receive them?

Any numbers they give on the cascade gas price would only be a guess/estimate since pricing is based on the price of electricity at a given time. On the plus side, electricity prices in Alberta are at historically high levels right now (+30 cents /kwh) https://www.auc.ab.ca/current-electricity-rates-and-terms-and-conditions/

winafew, maybe that is why ottawa pushes electric vehicles. They have everything figured out. Right?
