Peyto Exceeds Feds New Emissions Reduction Targets

Yesterday the federal government said that they want oil and gas companies to cut emissions up to 38% below 2019 levels by 2030. In Peyto's December Monthly Report by Jean-Paul Lachance, President and CEO he indicateds in Figure 1 that Peto has already exceeded this requirement. In fact they have cut emissions by a whoping 42.8% from 2019 levels.

Peyto should brodcast this information in a News Release and Letter to Shareholders.

i agree, Peyto shoud broadcast that is has exceeded the emissions target.  Also, don't most of have natural gas in our shorts?

The headline reduction the government wants is a little misleading. They are using a 2019 baseline for the entire industry. The LNG industry as a whole was none existent since then and will increase emissions by 10 Million Tons.  In addition Canadian production is up 500K bpd since them. While Peyto had reduced overall emissions intensity by 40% since 2019, they have grown production a LOT ...more

" a little misleading" Now that is  shocking news. When did the liberal govrnment EVER MISLEAD US? E.G. The Budget will balance itself, etc, etc, etc
