AECO $4.81 this morning

Alberta set a new nat gas demand record Christmas Day 7.9BCF AND BROKE THAT RECORD DEC 31 8.0 BCF .  Storage now at the low end of 5 year average.

Like to know Skylar where you get your data. First AECO prices: AECO 5A is a weighted daily average of transactions and was shown as $4.56 for Jan 4. Next storage: where do you get AECO storage data (or is it eia data for USA) Thanks

The information yesterday was  an email from Phil Hodge CEO , I just checked the email and it was actually 4.72 maybe that was the price he was getting not spot ,storage data from him and confirmed by RBM Energy NATGAS Billboard Report .You should get on the mailing list , also in this email was a bullish report on western Canada nat gas by Scotia bank . Thanks. Still don't get what you are being quoted. No one has real time available on AECO Hub prices or storage injections/withdrawals except those that have done transactions which will make up the average. PNE said Q3 was a record from way back and we could surmise Q4 would be even better as the average AECO prices must have been about $1 above prior qtr's (without allowing for hedges in ...more

I assumed he had sold that morning at that price , he noted that $15 mil was the previous quarter record in the past and $39mil for the annual record and they will beat both. I certainly agree with you on the div and i suggested pay a dividend when we are debt free.

I can't say I disagree with you.  Now it's 2nd half...more carrot dangling as I have wrote about before.  Carrot dangling is a common theme in markets but hey markets lap it up so why not. As I said I am not a fan of another acquisition spree but the latest was reasonable imo.
