Question for Raymondjames/MHP : What is POU most likely to do with their NVA investment? Potentially a half billion $'s soon.

Sell the shares back to Nuvista as a share buyback program for them to retire the shares. Nice and orderly. That would be my best case scenario.

That buy back program may be drawn out over a long period of time. I understand NVA is clearly awash in fcf, as most Canadian O&G producers, some more, some less; however, $450,000,000? Disclosure, I also hold NVA.

Sure, it would be long and drawn out, but they have had the bulk of these shares from long before the covid collapse, then picked up 17m more on the cheap. There is no panic to dump it all at once, for all we know they plan to keep these shares for many more years, and start to collect an eventual NVA dividend to add to the POU dividend. POU is making a lot of money from NVA for doing absolutely ...more

Don't care about the mechanics of an eventual divestment but it should be done soon. Debt free. Debt free. Debt free. Three times for emphasis as it is hard to believe pou has come this far this fast in 3 years. $1.5b in debt now net debt free! 88 cents a share to a 96 cent dividend and $29.50 a share!
