What gives?

Great dividend, little if any debt, relatively low P/E, yet the SP hasn't done a thing in almost three years. It's a well run company with mega assets.
Why does the price of the stock remain stagnant?

I noticed that POU's BETA is way up there. Artificial intelligence is having a ball distorting everything. BETA is supposed to be a measure of volatility. How can anyone call a stock whose price has been relatively flat for about 3 years volatile? Not too many conservative investors want in on a stock with a BETA running around 3.

Quint, The funny money we use south of the border as opposed to your funny money does not show such dramatic fluctuations. I never really looked much at the chart until now. I just noticed that whenever I looked up the SP, it didn't seem to have moved very much. I bought in Jan. of '22 at U.S. $20.47. Yesterday's close was $20.27. Granted it spiked to about 30 bucks 6 months after I ...more

The funny money we use here fluctuates in accordance to the fluctuations in your funny money so? The POU stock chart aligns perfectly with the PRMRF chart so the volitility appears to be the same in either currency. POU's stock price fluctuates with WTI which is volatile so transferable to the stock. The growth in production doesn't appear to be enough to break POU out of its slump ...more

Its Q3 and Q4 you will see some growth, with the big growth with be Wilesden Green in 2025, once the new plant is completed.  Also they now have a new Montney Play evaluation wells, that they will be drilling in Q4, and new play area that could develop in 2027.   There is a lot more is ongoing that anyone knows, because they essentially operate as if they are a private company ...more

The options market is where you have been getting 10-20% returns. Add that to the dividend yield and you've made a fortune over the last 3 years.
