Ok all kidding aside. It is a good sign that they bought back the max allowed in a month/week after the bump in share price. Under TSX rules, a maximum of 60,582 Common Shares may be purchased under the NCIB in any one day, representing 25% of the average daily trading volume of the Common Shares on the TSX for the six months ended May 31, 2024 of 242,331 Common Shares.  Paramount ...more

Exactly buying back shares is likely a great move at this time.  The shares a worth likely $50 - $100 dollars so buying back at this price, and not having to pay a special dividend on them. Its all bonus.  I just don't like share buybacks that are not material, and they want you to sign up to 10 years of share repurchases, while not paying you a material dividend.  IMHO MHP

They don't buyback share generally speaking but when cash and securities in hand equate to almost $27 dollars there might be a good reason to buy back shares.  The buyback of shares simply confirms POU is trading at a significant discount.  IMHO MHP

Yeah, yeah poo you don't have to convince me I advocate buy backs remember? Now how many shares do you think they can buy back between now and special div time? The entire NCIB would be nice. GL Fellow Investor.

You're going to have to earn it. Check out WESTBRICK Energy and see if it's a good fit for a sub $2 billion buy for POU. https://www.westbrick.ca/ GL Fellow Investor
