Why are people selling?

Over 959,000 shares trades hands today. With share price under $30 and a meaningful dividend on the pay I understan why people are buying but why are they selling at this price. Is something going on behind the scenes?

Nothing to worry about. Market risk off today. I would look at paramount as a cash play right now. $29.54 per share with a $10-15 special in 3 months. Once that is paid out, back to an growth story.

Couple things I forgot to mention: - Trump said drill baby drill and he said he wanted energy costs to go down. Coincidentally, thats what Exxon is doing. - the market cap of energy companies - save for a few Exxons - is a rounding error compared to that of tech companies. For example, in order for EQT to have a $2T market cap ie similar to the largest tech companies - instead of $20B, they ...more

So Pablo.. what numbers for crude prices was Exxon touting they want/need for the next 5 years..?

By 2030, at a 2024 dollar real Brent price of $65 per barrel, a real Henry Hub price of $3 per mmbtu, and a real TTF price of $6.50 per mmbtu, the company plans to deliver an additional $9 billion in Upstream annual earnings potential – more than 50% higher than in 2024.
