A New Era for POU

Alberta has asperation to double their Oil and Gas Development, and POU is has the assets to make this dream a reality.

Not Good Enough
1.  Pou could of bought Westbrick for 1 billion because they already own a piece of the company and         would have had almost 3 billion left on the balance sheet in Cash and Securities.

2.  POU could buy the remaining 85% of NVA that they don't own from roughly 2.6 billion and still have       700 million left over from the sale and be producing north of 120,000 boe/day.

Neither one of thes deals were good enough, because POU has other plans that will do even better for the share holders in the long term.

What would i do?

Well maybe i would put 250 million dollars into a clear water company, spin off almost 300,000 acres of land, and have a oil company producing 50,000 boe/day and 4 years. That may be an option.

Or perhaps I would Create a Meg2 with a sagd project that will be producing 50,000 boe/day in 3 years and with a 4 billion dollar market cap.

Or next year Wilesden green 240,000 plus acres will be producing 50,000? boe day after the third gas plant comes on, would it sell off the infastructure and sell off the play for another 3.3 billion dollars?

Or would I partner with woodside to supply an lng terminal from Liard/Horn River one of the top 10 gas basins in the world and produce that limitless supply of dry natural gas, to the world market selling the gas at Asian Prices.

POU has something better to supply share holders, better than we can imagine, and this is a case where you have to trust JR, as he will deliver for shareholders. Being a shareholder of POU you have to realize that there are always lots of irons in the fire, and you only get to see a few of the hot ones.

Remember 2024 and the year he gave you a $15 dollar christmas gift.

I know a lot of investors routinely ask themselves:  What would poo do?  Well this: Alberta has asperation to double their Oil and Gas Development, and POU is has the assets to make this dream a reality.  In stark contrast EN seems to think that even 7-10% NG growth is too much. {^youtubevideo|(width)425|(height)264|(rel)False|(url)https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MkvuHmV3_2k|(fs ...more

Well not every company would i advocate to buy back their shares.  Especially if they have little in terms of FCF, and really no hedging strategy in place. Or if their objective is to by back 50 percent of its shares, over a 10 year time frame and hold off on paying shareholders a respectable dividend.  POU is a value creation, asset monetization company, and have literally teams of ...more

I know poo you would rather sell the cow and not the milk. It's kind of short sighted when the milk pays for the cow in a couple of years and the cow gives mil for What did you say....10 years....of buy backs.   I know you also don't consider buy backs shareholder returns but selling the cow got you? A share price that couldn't even meet 52 week highs and is probably ...more

To me it's quite obvious that POU is creating value through asset monetization. I do have a question. In the mining business, value is often created with the drill. Does the same hold true for this business? For example, is there such a thing as a glory hole that makes a property quite valuable overnight. Does the geology of any of POU's property lend itself to finding major discoveries ...more

Those are great question, and it is complex and i am not the best person to answer the question, but i will give you some thoughts.  Its very complex, and it different for the type of production you are dealing with and i would suggest there are people that full time are experts in this area.  I would be good, if someone with a little more experience in establishing and reading ...more

MHP, Thank you. I hope someone steps forward.

MHP, I tried doing a little research. You are certainly correct regarding complexity. From what I can tell, surprises can and do occur. But it ain't easy. If you can remember "Hollywood Hillbillies" you're not only old like me, but you can rest assured that the kind of discovery portrayed on the show is a thing of the past. As far as making info mandatory, it appears that it can ...more

That's never really stopped you before poo!  ;-) C'mon make something up.  Maybe POU will discover oil in Alberta?  LOL GL Fellow Investor
