What's going on??
Oil, brent are escalating through the roof while PPL sinks and drags like a slug? What's going on with this? The energy sector is rocking and PPL should be making 52 weeks highs.... as Enbridge has been doing. Why is this not moving? I find it strange that when it begins to show strength towards the $42 range....it pulls back. Are they deliberately keeping this under $42 just to show the dividend pay ratio in the 6% range? Because $42 and above suddenly will show the divy payout below $6.

Are you implying that PPL's shares are manipulated? If so, what entity is capable of doing it?

Or entitie(s). Trade movement imo. Anyway...if you reply to my question...you should be giving your idea as to why ppl is lagging?

52 week high for PPL is $43 while Enbridge has made new 52 week highs a couple of times for sure. Maybe its catch up time for PPL? Fingers crossed. I love the monthly divy but share appreciation is always a bonus. Cheers

Thank you. I did my research with PPL and as I've said here before. I chose this. I purchased PPL not long ago so this is why I'm curious what some on here feel about it long term. Ignoring the monthly divy, of course. That's a given. I'm sure there are a few that have held this for quite a while. Cheers

Long term I think we will have to see what management have in terms of projects. To be honest right now it's a little hard to say

stockmarket, I am one of those who held PPL for while. I got them when they merged with Veresen, than I liked their performance and bought some more commons and quite a few preferreds. Lately, I am not too sure about PPL. Their hedging did not turn out as well as they hoped, and some of their projects were also abandonned. So, the question is valid to ask: "what's going on"?
