Repurchase Stock by Mid 2022

A continued plan to allocate up to the first C$200MM of excess free cash flow to share repurchases by mid-2022 (C$17MM repurchased in Q4'21).

That willl definately help the SP

Ariahp, I was not impressed with their quarterly report or their direction. A small increase in dividend would have helped the share price as well as helped the shareholders directly. Also not impressed with the choice of the new CEO, he was on board with the blunder to let the Heartland Complex slip by when they had already gone through the expense and preparation of building their own ...more

It sure is interesting on different people's expectations. As I've noted in my previous posts, I'm pleased as punch with PPL, the new CEO, where they are headed, and not rasiing the divy for now. I'm also very happy with the 1 year total return of 29.5% (as reported by Morningstar). It sort of sounds like it might be time for you to sell and move on to what you consider to be ...more

There a time when share repurchase makes sense (undervalued) and there's a time when dividend boost makes sense (shares are overvalued). I'm sure there's lot's of ways to determine whether share buy-back makes sense or not. I like to think in simple terms.. if they can issue new convertible bonds (new stock) at a much lower % than the stock payout ratio then it's probably a ...more
