Pref Resets -PPL.PF.A

Here’s a thought for possibly some Capital Gains - looking out to one of the Pref Rate Reset time.....
 
PPL.PR.A  Series 1 , currently trading $17.71 with a dividend yield today of somewhere around 6.93 % , paid quarterly
 
*December 2023 Rate Reset time at the Gov of Canada Fixed Rate Calculation Date  Plus a Spread of 2.47%
 
 Rate Reset on PPL.PF.A at higher rates   or will PPL redeem @ $25 ?

With the trend of higher rates now than when issued , the prefs are looking attractive for both C/G and or income. 
Any thoughts ?

All depends on boc 5 yr next dec Today the reset would be 3.6 plus 2.5 = 6.1 x25 = 1.52  152/1771=  A yield of 8.5 on 1771 not bad personally I think rates will be lower

I'm not sure of what you're asking but ...One would submit an order to buy a pref (PPL.PF.A ) the same way one buys anything else.

On  Investorline, I put in  PPL.PF.A in the quote box and nothing shows up. This is where I get quotes for stocks. So I am not sure why that is so.

TIA , I didn't really do much but you're welcome. I just shared what my thoughts for Rate Reset and possible redeemable of the issue at $25 at or around Dec 2023.   I'm in the camp that believes interest rates will only start to decline slower than they went up and after inflation has been tamed ....  but who the hell am I.  Full disclosure own Pref  PPL.PF
