Thanks traderling2 !    I like how CEO.CA  lists all the short positions reports all together.... I was doing that manually.    As you can see from about Aug/2024  Shorts were very active.   Significant increase since August.   This would lead me to believe that Shorts were a significant factor in PXT share price drop..... and that most of the

Wow, they sure are trying their best to put selling pressure on the share price. I would have thought that the short interest would decrease, and yet they went up by 149k shares. Let's get a successful well at Arantes and put these shorts to rest, or cover.

Short interest increased by 149k shares from Oct. 31 to Nov. 15 to 3.55 million shares.   Every 10 trading days Parex purchased 300k shares and cancelled them.   In order for the short sellers to cover, they will need to buy back shares from investors or traders with a Outstanding share count that is diminishing by 30k shares per day due to the company share buybacks.

For the life of me, I don't know how shorting this company at this stage of exploration and with a devoted share buyback program can be a wise thing to do. Shorting Parex right now has got to be very risky, IMO.  I hope we get positive results from Arantes and those who are short will be scrambling to buy shares that are in less and less supply every day.

Yes Joe, it seems to be an unnecessary risk to short.   Just buy and sell.   But you don't need much money to short, in fact you get paid up front, maybe that's why.   I think there's a lot of day trading going on with PXT.   Shorts being part of that.   I'm thinking about trading PXT.    Thinking about buying MORE and
