Poison pill or 50% ownership

Well companies either adopt poison pill or own more than 50% of outstanding shares to prevent hostile takeover. Look at Pascallis smart move ingenious infact. Owns 52% of PYR thereby making ithe company a poison pill in case of hostile takeover and owns the royalty that could turn into 50% ownership of HPQ A perfect poison pill incase companies decide to go for hostile takeover of either of the companies. I SAY SWALLOW THAT SHORTERS. Hostile companies!!
