New Pellet Plant

Tata Steel is building a new pellet plant and it looks like it will be completed in the next 12 months.  Who knows, maybe this is one of the anonymus companies.  No retrofitting just a brand new plant.

It is hard to imagine anyone building a carbon fuel plant now with this peridome shift in front of them.  They will go plasma or put off the decision to build until plasma is proven.  They can build the structure and hold off on the torch decision until it is almost completed.

Clevland Clifs just opened a $1 Billion state of the art Natural gas Iron plant. Today we are celebrating a new era for the iron and steel industry in the United States. This event formally marks the culmination of our $1 billion investment to build and operate the worlds most modern and environmentally friendly Direct Reduction plant, and the first plant of its kind constructed for the present ...more

This decision was probably made 5 years ago when plasma was not an option.  Inveested ! Billion and it is obsolete before it opens.   Life in todays changing world.

Plasma Torches have been around for a long time and sold by many companies.  They are even used in a few steel plants.. The Decsion to use Natural Gas is more likely that the electricy there is producced from Coal and natural gas.  So  there  would be a loss in effieciency the converting steps.  Also for the large plant there may not be enough electricty available ...more

PYR's 110+ patents says hello.   "Hydrogen-based steelmaking would create double- or triple-digit cost increases per ton of steel produced, according to a study that researchers at Columbia University published March 9. While this cost would be far lower than the negative hit companies could take under a government mandate such as a carbon price, such a cost is currently ...more

That is why hydrogen is currently not used now but natural gas.  In the FUTURE when the hydrogen economy is developed prices will be cheaper.  Just like Green electricity, was expensive at first but costs have shrunk over the years as technology gets better and scaled up. Small scale  Hydrogen will  be used first for vehicles and other small appicaltions first.. Hydrogen ...more

Westinghouse is not anywhere near or close to PyroGenesis tech/engineering..also won't be anywhere near iron ore pelletization induration furnaces as Pyrogenesis has plasma torch patents. Long and strong PYROGENESIS!

Enough of your false narrative.  Westinghouse Plasma is totally out of business and went thru bankruptcy proceedings Sept 2020. All their assets were bought via bankruptcy court the Co founder,Shyam Dighe, via a new entity Dighe Technologies who co-founded Westinghouse Plasma back in 1999. https://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/dighe-technologies-buys-ip-assets-of-westinghouse-plasma-corp ...more

Yes that is correct.  Westinghouse is now back in good hands.  Which is actually  AquaSource Technologies They now offer parts and service for the installed base of Westinghouse plasma torches. Westinghouse Plasma corp has an interesting 30 year history. Westinghouse Plasma Corporation (WPC) might be a new tenant in Technology Park I, but the company’s plasma torches ...more

Yes I followed that. AquaSource is not even close to Pyrogenesis.  Just bc Shyam bought Westinghouse Plasma on pennies on the dollar doesn't mean they are anywhere close to PYR.   I have seen zero advancements wih AquaSoure in last 9 months whereas PYR is growing in leaps in bounds in their  plama torch division plus PYR has at least 4 distinct divisions that can morph ...more

Typo....meant to say Westinghouse Plasma failed miserably who is the same person & founder Shyam running it after buying form Westinhouse Electric.  At his helm it goes bankrupt but yet he buys it pennies on the dollar thru his holding company.   Pattern of failures and then buying it thereafter!? Management – AquaSource Technologies  Not sure if I would invest $1000 ...more

Actually Shyam left Westinghouse plasma which he Sold to Alter NRG   to start Aquasource .     After Shyam left Alter NRG, Westinghouse Plasma  was not as sucdessful. Alter NRG Corp., Calgary, Alberta, has announced Westinghouse Plasma Technology, wholly owned by Alter NRG, has been selected by Hong Kong-based China Everbright International Ltd. for ...more

The torches only need to be maintained  after 6 months ...approx 2x per year. NOT as you say so many hours as if it can not run continuously for long extended periods of time. The plant does not have to be shut down either. The tech at Westinghouse Plasma was no where even close to PYR tech/engineering and it  failed miserably who is the same person & founder Shyam running it after ...more
