Article: Directionally-Dependent Mechanical Properties of Ti6Al4V Manufactured by Electron Beam Melting (EBM) and Selective Laser Melting (SLM)

Abstract: An investigation of mechanical properties of Ti6Al4V produced by additive manufacturing (AM) in the as-printed condition have been conducted and compared with wrought alloys. Directionally-Dependent Mechanical Properties of Ti6Al4V Manufactured by Electron Beam Melting (EBM) and Selective Laser Melting (SLM) (cdn-ceo-ca.s3.amazonaws.com)

Link comparing PYR powders in an EOS printer to GE powders in EBM printer vs rolled ti64. EOS’s 280/290 400W Ti64 powder matches PYR mix with Fe being mid range between PYRs MDS and the the studies but other elements identical. Also, falls in range of micro powder on Albert and Duvall website. EOS was probably the first to qualify back in 17/18

Note: EOS is a massive global 3D printing manufacturer

That's a pretty interesting technical paper.  Very. It's very impressive to see our powder be scrutinized with the best scientific technologies on many aspects.
