Now talking 1,000 torches between just three clients! And it sounds like it's going to happen quickly.

Isn't that $7 billion in sales?!
Comment by canyousayiii on Sep 16, 2021 1:14pm
No. The $7 million per torch is an estimated NPV. I think someone that ripped into my NPV explanation suggesting that everyone knows what that means can provide the explanation.

1,000 torches are not going to disappear off the shelves quickly. Maybe 100 but not much more. There is the question of available green electricity. The only place with surplus green electricity is Quebec and Labrador and even then it is many kms from where the need is. Be in this for the long term and the other revenu opportunities, not just pellet induration.

Pretty sure the torches can't tell the difference between green electricity and "normal" electricity. Lol. Using plasma burners powered from nuclear/hydro/natural gas generation is still far superior then using diesel and coal burners when it comes to emissions and ghg's. The supply of Green electricity won't limit torch sales. Nice try.

You are right about torches not knowing the difference between green and carbon intensive electricity, however banks, governments, insurance companies, and other sources of investment $ do. Just look at the treatment our oil sands processors are getting from banks. Some banks have withdrawn from financing them already. The carbon footprint of products whether they be toothpaste or automobiles etc ...more

Your trying to make sense of it in your head. It's not the iron ores job to clean up the electrical grid. They have done their part once they install plasma burners. It's government policy which would be responsible for electrical generation emissions after that. Not big iron ores problem anymore. Plasma burners will take the bulls eye off this industry and place it squarely on the ...more
