HPQ PLAN

Is the PYR for PLAN collaboration similar to the HPQ collaboration?
Comment by Sidewindergo on Jun 04, 2023 6:58pm
Yes, except Pyro only gets 33.3% of the PozGlass business if successful as opposed to 50% for HPQ. Im not aware of theres a similar royalty arrangement though.

PYR gets 10% royalty of the sales from Purevap NSiR, 10% royalty for HPQ Polvere (fumed silica) and 10% royalty of Purevap QRR .   Only the 10% royalty of Purevap NSiR and 10% royalty for HPQ Polvere (fumed silica) can be converted at anytime to 50% equity ownership of that JV.   Purevap QRR is solely owned by HPQ with no option to convert to ownership by Pyrogenesis

Also, with both HPQ Silicon and Progressive Planet Solutions Inc. (V.PLAN), PyroGenesis benefits by the sale of the reactors to both HPQ (Gen 4 QRR reactors), NSiR reactors, Fumed Silica reactors) and with PLAN (reactors for PozGlass).  This is in addition to the revenue PYR receives through the royalty agreements with HPQ and PLAN.

Sidewindergo, Pyr gets a 10% royalty for Hpq.  Potential buy in of 50% in nano silicon and fumed silica. Pry gets to build the reactors that will be ordered down the road. I don't think anyone knows what the deal is with PLAN is right now. We will have to wait for the coming announcement?

Hi BeachBum! I thought the same thing until I found this early-May PLAN presentation: https://youtu.be/OrFmoWUEP9E Pyro is covered after the 20 minute mark but in my opinion the Q&A is far more interesting. Every question was about Pyro. The PozGlass ownership is addressed, but what I don't remember being discussed is royalties.

This is one of many questions I would have when the arrangement with PLAN is announced following a successful test to economically produce the amorphous silica. If I heard CEO Harpur correctly, they sell many products to consumers through various retailers. He also mentioned Lafarge. I wonder if the PLAN/PYR venture would sell amorphous silica to cement producers as a means to reduce their carbon ...more
