What is 5 Metric Tons of Titanium Powder worth?
Just trying to understand the addition to the top line for PYR if they sell 5 tons of "high quality" titanium powder for 3D printing.
Is it worth $200/kg, or $400/kg, or $600/kg adding 1 million or 2 million or 3 million to revenue?
cleareye.

Good morning, Cleareye, you do realize your question as actual numbers/assumptions. Chances are very high it will never be answered. DD and glta

The revenue will not be a material amount. We know that for a fact as 3XP was trading PYR at the time fo the release.

Titanium powder is not created equal.

You can bet someone at GE(PYR's old tech) had some sleepless nights when Peter annouced that Pyro will be able to make and ship any type of metal powder to an end user, cheaper than they could manufacture it themselves on site Long and strong PYR!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks to everyone for their answers. It makes sense that pyr's price should be at the low end, along with their cost of production guidance/advantage. cleareye.

This was an honest question. I would have assumed that someone on this board knows what the titanium powder is worth per kg. If someone knows, please pass it along. Thank you, cleareye.

The cheapest price you'll find for gas atomized TI64 is around $200/kg. Pyros powder is plasma atomized and thus higher quality. We do not know the sale price but Pyro has stated they can profitably sell below competitor production costs. https://kbmadvanced.com/tekmat-ti64-53-20-g23/

Your math is completely wrong. By YOUR OWN numbers os $200/lb = $441/kg which for 5 ton order that is $22M not $2.2M Long and strong PYR!!!!!!!!!

Sorry was thinking of 10 more orders of 5 tons which is $22M. Client already said possible 6M more anyways. This is just 1 NexGen machine that can run 24/7 at 25kg/hr production rate Long and strong PYR!!!!!!

You are comparing apples and eggs. Titanium powder is used to print things in shapes that are not obtainable by machining or casting. This is a new game.

I would like to remind everyone that the 5 metric tons referred to in a recent PYR news release will not generate a material amount of revenues for PYR. How do we know? We know for a fact because at the time 3XP was trading the stock and there is no way this guy committed insider trading, no way (although some wrongly accused him of this here).

Peanuts is the answer, if it is a one time order.
