That 50,000 bid was from National Bank. They didn't get any stock, so they raised that bid throughout the day and finally got the 50,000 filled with 17,500 shares traded at $.495 at 2:24 pm. Those weren't new buy orders from new buyers, it was an order at $.45 that was CFO'd higher until it was filled. Now that order is gone, and there were 10,000 bid at $.465 at the close.  ...more

CFO is brokerage jargon for "Cancel Former Order". It is often used when an order hasn't been filled, or has been partially filled, and when the participant wants to change the price to increase the likelihood of getting filled. It is used on both the buy and sell side.
