It's that time again

The conditions are perfect for the meteor shower tonight. Go out in your backyard before you go to bed, the later the better. Let your eyes adjust to to dark and Do Not look at your phone screen. 

Sit in a chair and look up.

It's one of the most humbling things I've seen in my life. 

I've never missed it, weather permitting. 

The meteors will be traveling 133,000 mph.

They're expecting over one hundred per hour.

They're also expecting a few fireballs.

I genuinely liked that post. Outer space.. the universe, where plasma was born. Mother Earth... its environment and the miracles beyond it. Generations before us and ones to come will haze at the same celestial Gods. Let's hope Pyro and other fossil fuel reducing technologies continue to grow.... and make the skies even clearer.

It's been going on for the last few days, but it peaks tonight.  It's the Perseid meteor shower.  The earth is passing through the orbital path of comet Swift-Tuttle.
