And from @ordos: @ordos Great interview, my notes: - Most of the times when companies announce a new process that they will create with theoretical / expected performance, their numbers get worse / cost goes higher as they approach pilot / commercialization. With HPQ Silicon's FSR, as they approach commercial production of fumed silica, these numbers are getting better, just with the ...more

And from @cargo: @cargo @19:36 Bernard talks about the amount of raw materials required to produce 1 ton of Fumed silica with both processes. This in my opinion is another advantage with our FSR process. With 3 tons of quartz plus (Low Ash Coal + Wood Chips -3 tons combined) are needed to make 1 ton of silicon. Not to mention the fact that you will have to source out silicon tetrachloride ...more
