FSR (Fumed Silica Reactor) built by PYROGENIS

@Vestor111 Per HPQ's slide deck: In 2023, Fumed silica sales reached US$1.9 billion and is expected to grow at a rate of 5.5% CAGR [2] • This translates to approximatively 16,000 tonnes of new demand per year, every year. The newly commissioned reactor by $PYR produces 100TPY. PYR plans to make a 1000TPY reactor. How many 1000TPY reactors will be needed? How long before larger reactors are needed? Either these numbers are wrong or PYR will be incredibly busy.

from #hpq,

@Vestor111 Also from HPQ's slides: FSR Energy Requirements to produce fumed silica at a 1K TPY commercial scale • Now at between 8 and 12 kWh per Kg [1], compared to previous estimates of 10 to 15 kWh [2] • Now 92% lower than the 100 to 120 kWh required by conventional processes [3] The FS industry will be obsolete in a few years, provided $PYR can build LOTS of reactors on a mass scale.

from #hpq,

@Vestor111 Will Evonik just sit and wait with savings like this (Not to mention CO2 taxes eating into their thin margins)? Or will Evonik step up to throw money at this to $PYR to build them reactors ASAP to dramatically cut costs and plant food taxes?

I believe in one of the news releases or in the deck it states Canada uses 27,000 tons a year and Europe uses 93,000 tons per year just give you an idea. I bet the USA is another 100,000 tons   also in the deck a reactor pay back period is around1.5 years (if my memory is correct) based on a selling price of $8 per KG or $8000 per ton. So that puts each reactor in the $12M range.   ...more

@BCONTVentures And HPQ/PYR's Fumed Silica Reactor (FSR) has truly impressive EBITDA figures (in addition to other metrics as well): #HPQ #PYR

Exciting, but as with everything else not going to get excited until there is some actual production and sales. Powders has had lots of exciting news but nothing exciting in terms of revenue. Powders has been pretty quiet for awhile. Next financial report hopefully shows some revenue.
