WAITING FOR CONFERENCE CALL

It might be premature to form strong opinions at this time.

I take exception to a few early posts.  Dalesio makes a comment about how lucky Pyro is to have repriced warrants, suggesting how currents assets are terrible.  What a vague comment.   The other post is GrahamB's.  He indicates he's only taking a bird's eye view of things at this point, yet he's calculating ratios, that in my opinion are not relevant at this juncture.  I'm smelling cherries on this one.

Neither poster addresses the fact that there is a record backlog of signed contracts  in the amount of $54,000,000.00.  Read some detail.  Pyro can execute on its strategy.  It does not indicate any cash crunch.  I assume more will be said on this issue during the conference call.

I'm waiting for the conference call, but I will state at this point I have a general feeling of positivity.  Long and strong

How is calculating the current ratio -the ability to meet short term debts "not relevant at this juncture"  'With now only 38,000 in cash, it seems a tad relevant what?
Comment by Melida on Nov 07, 2024 8:42am
Infant company expanding in a very significant manner.  Do some research on this.  Put it in context. Address the record breaking backlog.  To simply float a ratio is dangerously biased

Infant company??? 37 years old. Glta DD serious working capital issue!!
Comment by Melida on Nov 07, 2024 11:55am
Fully aware of how old the company is.  You miss the critical point as usual.  In relation to its strategic plan Pyro is in its infancy.  Pyro even makes this point in Q3 comments.  And its a very important comment.
Comment by Mostlyserious on Nov 07, 2024 9:31am
What are you talking about?  Dangerously biased to clearly float facts about part of the balance sheet? And do it in a way that would be done in a basic finance course given to some 10s of thousands or more students every year? Instead you prefer floating the record backlog without providing a sense of when it will be filled, how much will contribute beyond providing that equipment and ...more

The conference call is coming up.   You need context Mostly.  Pyro's comments also clearly state that it has the means to fulfill its strategy.  One ratio is not going to cut it.  Cherry picking at its most insideous
Comment by BIGMOE on Nov 07, 2024 12:13pm
Some  big announcement at the end of the conference?  Big Contrat news?
Comment by Mostlyserious on Nov 07, 2024 12:38pm
I read the news release, I read the outlooks and what is going on and I looked at the financial statements.  Note 2 gives almost a page worth of context beyond one failiing ratio. The financial statements are prepared on the presumption that the company operates as a going concern but close to the end it states "These conditions indicate the existence of a material uncertainty that may ...more

"The Company expects that with its liquidity position and its access to capital markets it will be able to finance its operations for the foreseeable future." Not my words but Pyro's words as contained in its Q3 statements.   Your reference to doom statements are addressing GAAP requirements. Pyro is on track and gathering steam.

And keep in mind PYR recently received $1 million from the exercise of warrants. Also note that Peter has been with PyroGenesis since 1991 (and has helped fund PYR as necessary over the years).  PyroGenesis' President and CEO has significant "skin in the game" (Peter owns close to half of the outstanding shares in PYR).  Same with Bernard Tourillon of HPQ Silicon.  Us ...more

...thanks BCONT...I won't be able to get on the call so if you don't mind asking for me where all my investment went? Cheers.

Otto, if you lost money you are at least partly to blame.  You won't do that so you lash out at Pascali.  A lot of things were happening when the stock price went through the roof that can't be blamed on Pascali.  Anybody who thought $12.00 was a proper valuation of the stock at that time gave little to no weight to the fact that Pyro had $17,000,000.00  in yearly ...more

There is a strong possibility the SP ran up so much those years ago was because the manipulators that are probably short right now, did so, in a consolidated effort to short the stock at that time. Why do you think there is so much effort to entice others to sell right now, as the company is finally coming into its future. They dont want success, only failure. They haven't covered yet, and are ...more

you're making a lot of assumptions.   I was addressing the issue of blaming Pascali.  There are many contributing factors to run up.  They've been outlined on this board over the years

...hmmm we'll see I didn't buy this stock at $12 friend. But whether I or others bought at $12....$6.....$3.....or $2 it is all equally gone ...you appear to be the latest of a long..long line of pumpers who have come, graced us with your pumping....only to inevitably give up on this turkey and disappear certainly...we have seen the movie very many times...tell us it's shorts...or ...more
Comment by Melida on Nov 07, 2024 7:35pm
That's a very unhealthy attitude.  And I'm not a pumper.   I read PRs and I don't come to them with a bias because I've lost money on the stock.  You lost money.  Make it up somewhere else.  Spending your time bashing a stock you lost money in ain't going to make you any.  It's either that or are a paid basher or whatever.   ...more

You should look up the meaning of the word bias.Bias can work both ways. So as a shareholder you can hardly have an open mind. Therefore you are biased in your opinion because you own shares. The only one that is unbiased is the person learning about the stock for the first time. That said, there is a phrase "action speaks louder than words". The CEO has convinced his followers with his ...more

This is silly.  So I own stock in a company and therefore I'm biased in favour of it and all i do is see the good stuff?  Do I ever get to sell the stock?  What's with you? One very important thing I've learned over the years it to never fall in love with a stock.  And you have to understand that it's often hard to sell a stock.  I've learned these ...more

When you dismiss hard cold facts reported on the financial statements, and point us to listen to what they said, when they have been so wrong so many times in the past, that's beyond being biased.  Either a pumper or uber-naive.
Comment by Melida on Nov 07, 2024 8:28pm
That's not what I've done.  Misrepresent all you want.  It won't get your losses back.  Unhealthy The markets are not responding in a way that would suggest in any way that they share your opinions.

Melida seems like she has become unhinged. Wasnt she the calm, condescending teacher? Probably realized she got hooked with a sinker. Contracts, promises, all getting torched by the reality of the financials  lol
Comment by Melida on Nov 07, 2024 9:05pm
Nope.  I seem to be the only poster on this board that's made money from Pyro Investment. You're new here.  Tell us how you lost your shirt in this stock.  It seems to be the theme today The markets don't share your views.   What a tiresome bunch
Comment by sumpineh on Nov 07, 2024 10:00pm
Wrong! I made more than $2 a share selling at $5.60 . Should have got out at $12 but at least i didn.t follow it all the way down. Have followed it ever since waiting to see if they ever get one of those fantastic imminent contracts.

"Access to capital markets" being the key there. Don't know if you realize it but placements aren't a good thing. Especially when they're non-brokered like the ones Peter has been doing. It means no one wants to touch this with a 10ft pole. Good job putting on the rose-coloured glasses though.
Comment by Melida on Nov 07, 2024 4:47pm
There's nothing inherently wrong in going to market for cash.  Pascali is under stringent legal obligations when he partakes in these capital raises.

Yeah, he is looking for a reaction.  We pointed out the money raised through warrants.  Still not enough.  Peter has done very well.  Great salary, then additional board fees even though he is a CEO, rented his own facilities, sold cheap stock for dollars and then put some of it back in to get more stock and warrants.  Definitely giving him props.

Yeah, I'll take company's word over anything that accounting standards require you to disclose.  After all, the CEO emphasized in a press release that he has better visibility than pretty well anyone else. Wait a sec.....I did, and lost most of my investment!!!

You aren't getting it because I think you just don't want to get it.  You'd rather talk about your lost investment.  It's ancient history.  It's not relevant to Q3 and moving forward.   There will always be the risk in any micro/small cap company of things not working out.  Even large cap stocks are not immune to things not working out for any ...more
