Does anyone here even know what it means?

I've seen the phrase "offtake agreement" being used here recently.

The first by time by Melida, and now by skier.

I have a good memory.

Invariably, the mention off potential offtake agreements is met with applause.

Does anyone here really know what one is?

While the term sounds "advanced", a offtake agreement is essentially just different wording for a contract, with only one very minor difference that in this case is inconsequential

We've seen plenty of those over the years, and they haven't done this stock a shred of good:

Offtake Agreement:

A legally binding contract between a producer and a buyer that formalizes the sale and purchase of a producer's future goods or services

Purpose:

Offtake agreements are often used to secure project financing, build investor confidence, and establish a future revenue stream.

Benefits

Offtake agreements can benefit both the buyer and the producer

Buyers:

Buyers can lock in long-term agreements for products that are scarce or subject to price changes

Producers:

Producers benefit from a predictable cash flow and demonstrated demand for their product.

Types

Offtake agreements can take many forms, including long-term sales agreements and spot sales contracts

" Good morning Mr Banker. We would like to borrow $50 million please. We've signed an offtake agreement with Client C "
Comment by skier59 on Dec 26, 2024 2:16pm
Offtake Agreements generally involve the immediate infusion of cash, to help, or pay for, the production of the contract. They can involve huge amounts of CASH $$$$$$$$......something which EVONIK is not short of at their end ;)

" Offtake Agreements generally involve the immediate infusion of cash, to help, or pay for, the production of the contract. They can involve huge amounts of CASH $$$$$$$$......" Hahaha.  The contract with Drosrite wasn't an offtake agreement originally, but has become one since. It hasn't even been taken off the books yet, and the stock definitely hasn't taken off.

Lets not forget Radian being boughtt by an investor group who also participated in the PP. Alcoa is in SA , Radian already has drossite systems in place and running , How many aluminum plants are there in the middle east and around  the world ?? CAN YOU CONNECT THHE DOTS ??
Comment by dalesio_98 on Dec 26, 2024 6:19pm
HARJAY, Dots connecting? And debt not fully collected. Units shipped to SA? HPQ issuing shares in lieu of payment to Pyro, that they are good at. Exchange accepts the fancy footwork between companies? Good luck to All!

Wouldn't it be nice to know who's "the Private Equity Group trying to acquire Radian" is?? It can't be so "private" if PyroGenesis knows about them, and knows about their acquisition plans can it? Somewhat reminiscent of PyroGenesis buying Drosrite for one dollar when Radian still owes Drosrite $8 million. This company is a complete joke, but many here don't ...more

Pyrogenesis is good at finding deals. They acquired IP from HPQ for "zero consideration", and then they bought Radian for a buck. This could well be foreshadowing P3 buying Pyrogenesis for a buck.

The amusing part is that when I mentioned the convoluted inter-relationships that PyroGenesis has, Melida had a one word rebuttal... "Nonsense". It was a very popular post of hers.

Melinda has zero credibility. She doesn't know how to answer your posts so she tries to dismiss them with simplistic one word responses. She doesn't deserve an answer. I suspect she is just another alias of the pumper group thinkbig,bcont,-they all upvote each other so probably one person

Sorry.  They bought Drosrite for a buck. Christmas isn't harmonious with ample sleep.

Skier is right. Especially in relation to HPQ. I figure that owing 5 million bucks to Pyr was making HPQ customers hesitant to put cash up front to facilitate HPQ product development as part of a possible off take.   And to address a poster's comment, I agree, off takes are "just" contracts. In this instance the contract effectively would be a financing/purchase agreement. & ...more

Melida, Neither company has serious funds for advancement. Issuing shares from treasury a plenty. Good luck to All!

You're not getting it, or you're purposely ignoring it.
Comment by BCONTVentures on Dec 26, 2024 6:54pm
Well said Melida and skier59.  And this debt to equity conversion has PyroGenesis once again becoming a near 10% equity stakeholder in HPQ Silicon.  And these shares/warrants have a 4 month hold, and both PYR/HPQ are very close to the Fumed Silica Reactor (FSR) pilot plant becoming fully operational and with the first offtake agreement in sight. PyroGenesis has a vested interest in HPQ ...more
Comment by BCONTVentures on Dec 26, 2024 10:33pm
And some great points on HPQ Silicon's/PyroGenesis' Fumed Silica Reactor (FSR): @SabbathAs per the updated HPQ POLVERE TECHNICAL AND ECONOMIC STUDY - Capex around the US$ 10[2] per Kg of annual capacity versus the US$ 146 per Kg of annual capacity for traditional producer, reducing the capital cost to enter the Fumed Silica market by about 93% [3]. - Potential European Carbon advantage ...more

Now that a problem has been addressed, the pumpers talk about how much of a problem that was.  But when it wasn't addressed, then it was a non-issue.  Go figure. Any of them wish to fess up about other problems that have not been addressed yet?
Comment by Melida on Dec 26, 2024 8:32pm
Tough and biased crowd. Damned if you do, damned if you don't
Comment by Mostlyserious on Dec 27, 2024 1:00am
Not quite.  YOUR bias had you didn't do when you should have.  Nobody is damning you for it, just pointing it out.  And it is interesting because no pumpers had discussed the balance sheet as much as you did. Take it as a good learning experience.
