QBTC discount

Yes buying QBTC now is effectively buying Bitcoin at a discount. Sellers are leaving money on the table. But 3iQ must solve this fast by converting the Closed-end fund into an ETF. This is brutal.

After reading the annual redemption clause thoroughly I feel batter. The one thing that would be very smart of 3iQ would be a press release in the coming days just re-highlighting the redemption availability and potentially a lowering of the annual fee. A simple statement would go a very long way. Also it would be very smart for the manager to draft up some method by which unit holders could ...more

the problem with swithing to an ETF is that they would make far less on the fees. Plus they will/are going to simply start a seperate ETF on top of keeping this as a closed end fund.  In some ways they don't really care what the trade price in terms of discount/premium to NAVPU  as they make money off the total value of the fund. The only thing that will hurt them is a mass ...more

I forgot to mention that they have the right to suspend redemption in certain circumstances as well.....i would think a mass redemption would be one of those conditions but i am not sure

Thanks golf4ever for showing up with your one day old account and preaching FUD. 3iQ will treat QBTC unit holders well because it is in THEIR best interest to do so.

LOL ya i figured i would get a response like that........i don't even know what  FUD (fiduciary duty?) is sorry. yes 3iQ will do whats best for the fund (it of course has a fiduciar duty) thats what i said. and switching it to an ETF is not in their best intrest .....IMO.....which is what i was commenting on. Secondly people are considering buying this with the thought of redeming it ...more
