I guess since the price is going up so much the shorters must be really excited that they'll get a chance to short at even higher prices....that's how this works, right??

Yup....just shorted VMD at the 52 week high and profited within a few days by over 10&.  Read my post history. Yes...that is how it worlks. Short Profit = sell high/cover low. Someday you might understand, but you have to be smart enough to do it.  GLTA
