Hedge

The good old PHM(VMD,QIPT) hedge has been working very well as intended for the last month. Great time to be buying QIPT right now and a wonderful time to be thankful you never panicked and headed for the hills with VMD like some did. Good luck to only the PHM longs.

Part of the problem is that QIPT remains relatively unknown to the average investor. It has analyst coverage from some investment houses but none from the big banks. If you look at the chart, it tends to rise on higher volume trading days but then gradually drifts down again when the trading volume subsides. I think the PR department need to do a better job of getting the word out so that QIPT can ...more

I think you're overthinking it. As long as volume is low and institutions continue to accumulate share price will be at the mercy of knockdown trades. It's a temporary thing sooner or later institutions will want to show profit and just as easy as it is for them to knock share price down so too will it be to drive share price up. Of course to subscribe to this hypotheses one also has to ...more

With all due respect gibbonsj, you have been trying to sell this same hypotheses for a very long time. Lets talk one institutions holding of Quipt shares, that is Beacon securities. Very long time supporter of the stock, so what are they waiting for? They could easily move the price up and start creating sellable volume on a daily basis, as well as other house's and exit some of their ...more

They have enough on the table right now to up eps. I'm sure that's what they're focused on.
Comment by gibbonsj on Nov 29, 2023 1:05pm
Beacon is hot when they're selling and cool when they're buying. They've moved in and out a few times.

Yawn.....ya sure!! hahaahahha Gibbon's is too funny.
Comment by gibbonsj on Nov 29, 2023 5:33pm
The fact that you would use beacon as your case study speaks to how little there is behind your case.
Comment by Tradergun on Nov 30, 2023 7:16am
exactly gibbons  position held  Claret Asset Management  4.3M SHARES.                                                  Black Rock  2.1M shares  AS of Sept 30 they added 400k shares to thier positions these are the real holders.
Comment by Tropicalsun on Nov 30, 2023 10:23am
I simply used Beacon as they were the first name to come to mind. So replace Beacon with Claret Asset Management and my post remains the same. The same old message that the institutions don't have there pockets filled yet is getting really lame. So how do they get there pockets filled with microcap trading volume daily? It's easy, run the stock up and entise sellers to let go of their ...more

Tropical my mind jumped to Bruce Campbell my mistake. When I talk about institutional holdings and who's doing the buying and related knockdowns your example supports my position. When you include institutions, insiders and longs that has to account for a good 75% of issued shares leaving very little in the free trading float. I'm inclined to think that institutions are holding in hopes of ...more

We'll it's like this, Crawford's and Hoyt's own comments entertaining buy outs. "Until a serious suitor comes knocking at our front door with an offer, there's nothing to disscuss" Bruce Cambell has mentioned the words buy out several times over the past few years and it still hasn't happened. Until the economic landscape changes and interest rates come back down ...more

Wonderful post..so insightful.

Tropical, my suggestion to you is to tell it like it is and this time don't hold back. You've made it abundantly clear over the years that you hate the stock and think Crawford is a bungling imbecile that we are financially incapable of undertaking any more acquisitions and it's all because of the canceled ATM. Yet here you are still holding on to those shares tightly. For you it's ...more

gibbonsj, like so many on this board you take a posters words and twist them around and insert BullShite to serve your own purpose.  Show me where I said that I hated the stock and that Crawford was an imbecile. If I really felt that way, do you think that would still be here, listening to your lame excuse that the institutional boys are keeping this down because they haven't got enough ...more

How does a shareholder not show emotion when the situation was caused by 2 stupid decisions??? Make sure you get that quote right gibby, for future reference.

You have to admit that it was, and is, a total overreaction to the ATM. It was just another tool in the toolbox to be able to access cash if we needed it, and people peed their pants. Its kind of like how people react to dilution. Whats wrong with dilution. Its necessary as a company grows.
