Quipt Home Medical Corp > what I don't understand is

what I don't understand is

Personally I think we should have stuck with the ATM. The thing is though for the right acquisition there are many ways of financing it. ATM is the most shareholder friendly but for the right acquisition dilution by other means does not necessarily means devaluation of shares. I have seen it many times over the years where the acquisition, being transformational, gives sp a large boost. This occurs when shareholders or stakeholders of the company being acquired buy shares in the acquiring company, new blood so to speak. What I don't understand though is posters like tropical have been posting here for years they have made it clear ad nauseam that they think this is a garbage investment. So why haven't they sold and moved on? What do they see in this stock that makes them hold tight onto their shares? Why didn't they sell at $9.

Tropical is a what they call in this business, 'a soft basher.' Its been the same here and at VMD since the split. I dont know if some red ink on correction days triggers it, or what the real reason for it is. All stocks, and I mean all, as we all know, go through the ups and downs, but with some folks the red ink is like a red flag to a bull thats just been kicked in the gonads. Like old ...more

So here's the thing gibby, I read this post and really come to the conclusion that these words only speak of your own opinion and speculation. Nothing informative or factual for that matter, your entitled to your opinions just like myself and everyone else on this board. As soon as the opinions differ, the problems start. Doesn't matter what you think I should be doing, it is none of your ...more

Tropical you're evading the question. Why have you not sold? Until you answer that you can't be taken seriously.

Gibby, I am not evading any question. As I explained to you this morning my trading habits are none of your business. What I have bought and sold past or present, how many shares I currently hold, how long I have held a position is again none of your business. People like you who feel the need to tell the board about your trades, how many shares and the price, how much money you have made is self ...more

This is a good point.  From the point of view of the impact on SP, we must concede the ATM was hated by the market and super-charged the downturn.  Alternatively, had they stuck to it - and just kept it in their back pocket until money market conditions improved and perhaps when more clarity on reimbursement policy was achieved - the market would gradually have relaxed and we'd ...more

To find out what's going on with the stock overlay the the rut & qipt charts. It's interesting that qipt rises quickly along with rut and takes a hammering when rut falls out of favor. There's an interesting inference that can be gathered from this. All this talk about the ATM bringing share price down and servicing small accounts in rural areas being a financial burden is ...more

So Gibbons tell me something. This may be a real stupid question but what in the hell is 'rut.' We've got REITs, RIA, RSI, RFP, RMD, ROA, ROE, ROIC, ROI, but bedamned if I've ever heard of 'rut' unless your talking about a wild cloven hoofed animals mating instincts. Is it a ticker symbol?? Can't find it anywhere there either.

Russell index. Remember I posted our inclusion in the Russell 2000 was something that cut both ways.
Comment by westcoastlogger on Dec 02, 2023 1:28pm
Oh the Russel. Of course. I had never heard it referred to as the RUT. Thx.

Good to see you olgriz. My interpretation of the cancellation of the ATM was that the company was being responsive to shareholders which is never a bad thing. It also said something positive about the large shareholders in terms of their commitment to the investment.
Comment by Tropicalsun on Dec 05, 2023 4:09pm
Gibby, make up your mind already. One post you say the company should have kept the ATM and then after Olgriz posts you flip and say that your glad Greg listened to shareholders. Who's posts are laughable???
